Coworking design idea

Another coworking design project that we did this year. Penang is an exotic melange of old and new with the largest collections of pre-war buildings in Southeast Asia. Offering a punch of traditional temples, homes, hotels and shophouses mingle with modern buildings.

Our challenge

The design team would like to held stories of the island’s colorful and eventful past and recall a similar charm in our design for Spaces. Bringing iconic street art, Chinese shophouse, beautiful tiles and colours into the co-working place offer an insightful introduction to Penang’s culture and social history. Spaces Menara Boustead embodies a functional, yet flexible offering, blending both open and private office environments. The whole interior is used exposed raw concrete, béton brut and furniture with thin, angular forms creating a light industrial feeling, simple yet elegant and timeless. The design team worked hard on this awe-inspiring office space to represent the unique culture and essence of the city.
