The Pusamcap Sapa was a challenge that D&P Associates was honored to take. The project would be built on a mountainous terrain in Vietnam with very uneven surface. The area is more than 1500 meters above sea level, and the difference in height is up to 20m across the field. This makes planning rather difficult, as both functionality and aesthetic must both be assured. The allowed area is 4600 sqm, but we only plan to use 1800 sqm so the beautiful natural surrounding remain undiminished. There is no point in building something at a place like this just to take away the beauty of nature. Pusamcap Sapa and its surrounding compliment each other. The resort is divided into three main spots: the hotel area, the reception and restaurant area, and the sport and entertainment area. The hotel area consists of multiple three-floor hotels and is situated in a way that every single hotel has view to the vast greenery outside. Next, the recreational area has a tennis field so visitors can be active during their stay. Also, a four seasons pool is a must for a resort at such location. Finally, there is a parking space available for visitors’ convenience. As for the interior of the hotels, we use the environmentally friendly stone material from local suppliers. Influenced by the French architecture, the Pusamcap Sapa rises as a modern, well-furnished building but doesn’t conflict with its grand natural surrounding.
